EAA Chapter 932/Youth Aviation Club

The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) was founded in 1953 by a group of individuals in Milwaukee, WI, who were interested in building their own airplanes. Since then it has grown into a thriving and diverse general aviation organization encompassing warbirds, vintage aircraft, aerobatic airplanes, ultralights and helicopters with a membership of over 170,000 and more than 900 local chapters.

EAA Chapter 932 is made up of a collection of aviation enthusiasts of varying backgrounds; pilots and non-pilots, model airplane builders and flyers, active and retired airline pilots, airplane owners and renters, restorers and builders. One thing we all have in common is a joy of aviation and the strong desire to promote it in our community.

Our meetings are held on the 2nd Saturday of each month at 10am in the EAA Hangar at Galt Airport, Greenwood, IL.  Since our primary goal is to have fun, we take local "field trips" whenever the opportunity arises and at least once a quarter we host some type of community event or fly-in.

One of our passions is promoting aviation to young people. Through our participation in the national EAA Young Eagles program, our volunteer pilots offer the opportunity to go flying in a general aviation airplane to kids ages 8 to 17. These flights are offered free of charge. See our Young Eagles page for more information.
